indecl. LW 23.19 (Sardis)
  ?ν LW 23.21 (Sardis)

According to Gusmani 1964a:217, another certain occurrence of is found in LW 23.21, but Gusmani 1964a:260 underscored the tentative character of this interpretation. The inspection of the photograph of the relevant segment does not guarantee the reading of the vowel u nor the separation from the preceding group of signs.

1.1.3Meaning

The position of before the finite verbal form f̣awcνasoḍ supports the assumption that we are dealing with a preverb. This would add to the list of other Lydian local adverbs ending in -ν, such as dãν, wicν, šawν etc. The interpretation of this form as an infinitive in Gusmani 1964a:217 stumbles upon the lack of any assured infinitives in -ν in Lydian, as opposed to the well-attested infinitives in -l (Gérard 2005a:113f.). The comparison of with Hitt. awan is in itself not sufficient to clarify its meaning.
