This lexeme is attested in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

1.1.3Meaning
The word tiluma is found in a military context concerning the rebellion of certain parties and it represents something that belongs to a probable dynast named Qẽtri (see Sasseville 2021a:419). Furthermore, it is coordinated with muneita. Cau 2003b:60, 62 considers tiluma a personal name (likewise Schürr 2007b:113 and Gehrisch 2018a:69) followed by a patronymicon, which is possible in principle but not cogent. Instead, the two words may simply be appellatives (thus Sasseville 2021a:419).

Neumann 2007a:364 compares the morphological segment -uma- with that of Arccazuma- (a Carian deity) and Hñtruma- (M 233).
