Gusmani 1964a:121 restores the letter [d], in order to get a verbal form in the present singular, which is supported by the syntax (followed by Schürr 2003b:116); see under Meaning.

1.1.4Meaning
Sasseville 2021a:479f. etymologically connects the verb f-ašno- (with the prefix fa-) with HLuw. /assunuwa-(i)/ ‘to make good (?)’, being both causative formations in *-nu- derived from the base noun *assu- (as found in Hitt. āššu- ‘good’ and Lyd. asfa-). The Lydian verb can be translated as ‘to make good’ or ‘to make happen’. For the semantics, one can compare Hitt. aš(ša)nu-(mi) ‘to take care’.
edš=in šup̣[..]taν iṣ̌tamin nid fatrod edt=in kumloḷλ p̣[.]ṛšfantus fašνo[d] (LW 44a.14)
‘This one does not handover the ištamin of the šup..ta. P[.]ršfantus will make this good for (the child) of Kumlos(?).’
Nevertheless, the interpretation of the passage must be considered tentative.

1.1.5Stem
The verb ašνo- has been interpreted tentatively as a causative verb in -no-/-νo-(d) (Gusmani 1964a:177, Gérard 2005a:110, Sasseville 2021a:479f.).
