albrãn-
‘(unknown)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme is found in the inscription of the inscribed pillar of Xanthos, dated contextually to shortly after the ascension of Artaxerxes II in 405-404 BCE and stylistically to around 400 BCE (Borchhardt & Eichner 1997-1999a:19f.).

1.1.3Graphic Features
Schürr 2018b:65 opens the possibility of seeing an infinitive of the verb alba-(ti) ‘?’ by deleting one letter, i.e. alb{r}ãna, but an infinitive is not supported by the syntax of the passage.

1.1.4Meaning
The word albrãna seems to be coordinated with pruwa ‘?’ and both items belong to the Storm-god (differently Schürr 2018b:95, who takes albrãna as the direct object of qretu). Shevoroshkin 2002a:239 suggests the meaning ‘altar, offering’, which is a mere guess. No semantic assignment can be given here.

1.1.5Stem
albrãna is most likely a neuter n-stem, i.e. albrãn- or albrẽn- (+ vowel harmony).
