dat. sg. al-li12-šu-na-an-ni KBo 19.160 ii 12’ (CTH 754, NS)

1.1.3Meaning

The word allišunanni can be best interpreted as a compound with an abstract formation in -atar/n- of Pal. šūna- ‘to fill’ as the second member, i.e. šunanni dat. sg. of šunatar/n-. The first member of the compound could be read with the sign value liš instead of li12, which would yield a lexeme alliš- instead of alli-. Although the latter is more appealing, independent evidence is needed. Overall, the lexeme can be provisionally translated as ‘alli-filling’.

[D.S.]

For the second member of the compound, see 803 Pal. šūna-.
