1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
The fully syllabic spelling of this lexeme leaves little room for doubt over its phonology. Indeed, with its combination of syllabic spelling and determining logogram, the form actually serves as a strong link for the entire word family between the logographically spelt words such as the adjective PURUS.MI- ‘pure, sacred’ and their underlying phonological forms.

1.1.4Meaning
Used in the dedicatory inscription around the side of a round stone bowl, this verb undoubtedly denotes an action that is part of the consecration and/or purification of the bowl, i.e. ‘to consecrate, to purify’ vel sim. (cf. Hawkins 2000a:139; Sasseville 2018a:127). While the general semantic domain this verb belongs to is therefore clear, its precise meaning remains elusive until further evidence is discovered.
