Yakubovich 2010d:92 suggests that [^DI]M-tapaddu (*Tarḫuntapaddu), the name of a male ritual practitioner from Arzawa (KUB 41.17 + KBo 64.14 iv 26’) means ‘Let Tarḫunta protect’. Accordingly, there would be a verbal stem *pa- ‘to protect’ in the Arzawa Luwic language. This is formally possible, although currently there is no way to verify this.
