1.1.4Meaning
The fragmentary state of the text does not allow a sufficient analysis of the context. However, the word appears in a birth ritual close to the mention of the mother and the Patron Deity (dLAMMA). This strongly reminds of the birth ritual of fPittei, where a possessive formation mannāimma/i- ‘equipped with seed, progeny’ is attested. There, the word refers to the ill omen for a mother in labor, who is supported by the Patron Deity. The omen is rectified and turned into a positive one predicting progeny. The word is probably etymologically cognate with mannimma[n(-). If mannimma[n(-) is a participle of a verb in -i(ya)-, it probably means also something like ‘being fertile’, otherwise, as an abstract noun in -mman-, it would mean ‘fertility’ (like mannitt(i)-).

1.1.5Stem
Due to its fragmentary attestation, the stem of the word is unclear. It may be a form of either a participle in -mma/i-, a possessive adjective in -mma/i- or a -mman- abstract noun.
