| acc. pl. c. | šu-u-un-ti-in-na-a-an-zi | KBo 5.2 iii 29 | (CTH 471, NS) |
Attestation following CLL:197 (cf. also Laroche 1959a:87, Laroche 1980a:243) checked against the photograph of the Konkordanz. Strauß 2006a:249 (cf. already Friedrich 1941-1944a:332) rightly pointed out that this word can only be an acc. pl. c., since it is one of the objects of the sentence, the subject being a single ritual client (contra the nom. pl. c. of CLL:197; Haas & Wilhelm 1974a:6 n. 1; Tischler 2008a:176, Tischler 2016a:335).

1.1.3Meaning ‘(a divine attribute)’
The meaning of this word is unknown, except that it is a belonging of Šaušga (Friedrich 1941-1944a:332; Laroche 1959a:87f., Laroche 1980a:243; Haas & Wilhelm 1974a:92; Wegner 1981a:89; CLL:197; Strauß 2006a:241, Strauß 2016a:§55; Tischler 2008a:176, Tischler 2016a:335; Taracha 2011a:281; Richter 2012a:414; Mouton 2016a:307; Ünal 2016a:970, cf. also Ünal 2007a:652, Ünal 2016a:491).

1.1.4Origin
Its Luwian origin is beyond doubt due to its Luwian ending (cf. Tischler 2008a:176, Tischler 2016a:335; Ünal 2016a:970; but not listed in the Luwianisms of Melchert 2005a), but it is also assumed to be originally from Hurrian (Friedrich 1941-1944a:332; Laroche 1959a:87f.; Wegner 1981a:89; CLL:197 [with question mark]; Strauß 2006a:249; van den Hout 2007a:253; Taracha 2011a:282; Mouton 2016a:307 n. 2). Based on KUB 29.8 obv. i 56-57, which basically describes the same ritual act (libation) as KBo 5.2 iii 28-29 but shows šuntinna instead of šūntinnānzi, Friedrich 1941-1944a:332 (followed by Laroche 1959a:88, Laroche 1980a:243) suggested a Luwianized Hurrian plural (CLL:197 adds a question mark), similarly (but cautiously) Strauß 2006a:249f. (“möglicherweise”), who identifies the base as a Hurrian absolutive plural with -na- and Taracha 2011a:282, who would rather see a Hurrian essive singular in -a in it, “probably” misunderstood as an absolutive plural. Both Hurrian interpretations are theoretically possible and since its meaning is unknown, the underlying Hurrian form cannot be identified.
Note that the attested ending is characteristic for the so-called Empire Luwian (ancestor of Iron Age Luwian) and not for Kizzuwatna Luwian (see already Strauß 2006a:249, cf. in general Yakubovich 2010d:26–28).
