Pace Kammenhuber 1959a:87 and Carruba 1970a:72, dānniš can hardly be nominative singular, considering the plural form of the verb. If it is indeed the subject, it must be plural (Carruba 1972a:53). However, it is even more tempting to take it as accusative plural, i.e. the direct object of takkuranda.
