1.1.2Forms

3pl. pret. ind. act. na-aḫ-ḫi-ir KUB 35.164 ii 13’ (CTH 752, MS)

Due to the fragmentary state of the context and the lack of certainty regarding the ending -ir, the grammatical assignment must be considered tentative; cf. Kammenhuber 1959a:25, Melchert 1994a:225.

1.1.3Graphic Features

Checked against the photograph of the Konkordanz.

1.1.4Meaning

No meaning has been suggested in the literature; cf. Carruba 1970a:64. It is tempting to connect it etymologically with the Hittite verb nāḫ-/naḫḫ-(ḫi) ‘to fear’, but, since the context is fragmentary, it cannot be contextually supported and best left aside.
