The gloss wedge marked
a-ni-ia-an-du=w[a(-) occurs in KBo 23.111 rev. 10’, a NS oracle report (CTH 581). Following Starke 1990a:159 n. 512 (followed by Trameri 2025CTH 581.4 – Fragment mentioning katra- women, URL: hethiter.net/: CTH 581.4 (INTR 2025-08-01).), the wedges do not mark the Hittite lexeme aniye/a- ‘to perform’, but the beginning of the direct speech indicated by the particle =wa. Accordingly, we are not dealing with a gloss wedge word.No interpretation is offered in HW 2nd ed. A:88, Ünal 2007a:31.
