1.1.3Graphic Features
1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
Unclear. The logographic spelling prevents a direct interpretation, and the word is so far unconnected to any possible cognates in the other Anatolian languages; cf. BRACCHIUM-la/i/u-sa-.
[AH.B.]
1.1.4Meaning
The word occurs in a badly fragmented inscription, where İSTANBUL 2, C2 reads: [x wa/i?-t]a [“BRA]CCHIUM?”-li-[t]a, with no translation attempted. Since the word is followed by what appear to be clause-initial elements, it can be analysed as a verb with some certainty. For a meaning, Taş & Weeden 2011a:57 tentatively suggest ‘to overcome’ based on the choice of logogram, but their interpretation remains hypothetical until further evidence surfaces.

1.1.5Stem
The verb appears to belong to a denominative in /-i-(ti)/ or, less likely, a deradical verb in /-i(ya)-(di)/ (see Sasseville 2021a:131f., 319f.).
