1.1.2Forms

acc. sg. du-ú-wa-an KUB 35.109 ii 6 (CTH 765, MS)

The morphological interpretation follows CLL:239, but dūwan is assigned here to a lemma different from that of tu-u-wa(-a) because of its spelling with ú.

1.1.4Meaning

No meaning is offered in DLL:101, CLL:239, whereas HHw:183 suggests a tentative interpretation as an adverbial numeral ‘twice’ for dūwa(n), probably on etymological grounds. The lexeme is listed together with the accusatives lappiyan ‘fever’ and parninkin (with unknown meaning). Nevertheless, it is not unlikely that dūwan, too, is an accusative designating a disease.

1.1.5Stem

The common gender acc. sg. points to a non-mutated a-stem.
