1.1.3Meaning
This word armaimiš, modifying wattann(i)- ‘small hump, little hill (?)’, is analyzed as a derivative of Luwian *arma- ‘moon’ with the Luwian suffix -aimma/i- and translated with ‘moon-shaped’ or ‘decorated with a moon’ (Lorenz & Rieken 2007a:482, Sasseville 2021a:68).
[D.S.]
1.1.4Origin
The indisputably Luwian origin (Lorenz & Rieken 2007a:482) of armaima/i- is owed to the derivational suffix -aimma/i-.
