For the restauration of the stem final suffix, see Starke 1985b:395. On account of the position of the word before the paragraph line, it most likely represents the predicate verb.

1.1.4Meaning
Due to the fragmentary context, the meaning assignments depend entirely on the assumed derivational relationships and etymologies. Carruba 1970f:85 (and Carruba 1976a:141f.) connects the stem with Hitt. išdu- ‘(MP) to become known’. Probably with the alleged passive participle
dušdum(i)- in mind, Starke 1985b:395 n. 41 (followed in CLL:237, HEG T:470, EDHIL:419) translates it transitively as ‘to make known’. In contrast, Yakubovich (pers. comm.) sees the closest cognate of the putative dušdušša-(i) and
dušdum(i)- in dūwa-(i) ‘to place’, and therefore postulates a meaning ‘to place around’. However, the context does not give a clue that would permit to decide the issue.See HEG T:465 for an earlier untenable suggestion by Ajchenval’d et al.; no translation in DLL:100, HHw:182.

1.1.5Stem
Starke 1985b:395 restores the verb as an imperfective in -šša-. For a derivative of the base verb *dušdu-, see
dušdum(i)-.
