On the one hand, the word amatema can be taken as a nominal formation in -ima- in the locative singular; cf. Pal. kuwalima-. On the other hand, it can be analyzed as amate=ma, i.e. 3sg. pres. act. verb in -ti followed by the particle =ma. This would be supported by the word in the previous line ḫūwāti=ma ‘it walks’, but a verb ama- is not otherwise found. As a third option, a nominal form amati cannot be entirely excluded either. Due to the fragmentary state of the context, none of these hypotheses can be verified.
