1.1.3Graphic Features
Checked against the photographs in the Mainzer Fotoarchiv. – Starke’s (Starke 1985b:66) restoration as ḫa-ar-ta-t[i is accepted in CLL:61 and Yakubovich 2017d, but not absolutely assured, because of the assumed sign TI only the head of a horizontal wedge is still preserved. In contrast, DLL:43 lists ḫa-ar-ta-t[i? under ḫardant-, which implies a restoration to ḫa-ar-ta-a[n-t° (see under Lemma ḫardant(i)-).

1.1.4Meaning
The meaning assignment depends on the syntactic interpretation. Melchert (in CLL:61), assuming that ḫartat[i] means “something which can be cut”, seems to analyze the word as the head noun of the preceding participle kuramati ‘cut’. In contrast, Yakubovich 2017d thinks of two juxtaposed abstract nouns kuramman- and ḫart(i)- ‘cutting (and) crushing’. The fragmentary context does not permit a decision between the two options, especially since the final part of the word is broken off (e.g., also an -ant- suffix as assumed in DLL:43 is possible).

No assignment possible due to the incomplete attestation of the word (see under Graphic Features).
