1.1.3.1Phonological Interpretation
The phonological interpretation of this word is provisional. While the spelling appears to be fully syllabic, the word has not yet been linked to any close cognates in the other Anatolian languages, and the vagaries of the HLuw. writing system therefore remain unmitigated. Other possible interpretations are /uz(z)ama-/ and /uzma-/. Because the logogram PES (sign *90) is used for a determinative, it seems that at least the scribe putting together the inscription saw a link to other words using PES, e.g. /awi-(di)/ ‘to come’, /uba-(i)/ ‘to bring’ and more (cf. Hawkins 2000a:528).

1.1.4Meaning
From the context of attestation, it is clear that the verb denotes a benevolent action, not least because it is paired with the adverb /wasu/ ‘well’, see Hawkins 2000a:528. The exact meaning is somewhat difficult to gauge, as PORSUK, §3 runs: a-wa/i-mu-ta REX-ti-zi wa/i-su (“PES”)u-za-ma-ta, approx. /a=wa=mu=tta hantawattinzi wasu uz(z)ammanta/, meaning ‘(My master, the god Sarruma, was forthcoming to me), the Kings were well disposed (?) towards me, (and King Masaurahisa came well for me)’ (cf. Hawkins 2000a:528).

1.1.5Stem
The verb appears to be a stem either in /-a-(ti)/ or in /-a(i)-(di)/ (cf. Sasseville 2021a:20, 80-82), only further paradigmatic evidence can prove which option is correct. For the derivational base, an unattested */uzzamma/i-/ may be assumed, which could represent a participle to a verb such as */uzza-/ vel sim. (cf. Sasseville 2021a:82).
