1.1.3Graphic Features
Checked against the photographs in the Mainzer Fotoarchiv. – The form may not be complete, since the space before wa- indicated in Starke 1985a:42 exists in neither the photograph nor the handcopy.

1.1.4Meaning
Not only may the form as transmitted be incomplete, but the broken tablet also does not provide any clue as to the meaning. Therefore, the tentative interpretations offered so far, viz. ‘of/pertaining to a precinct’ (CLL:260) and ‘of enclosure’ (?) in Yakubovich 2017d, both based on the stem formation, must be regarded as highly provisional. The former is now superseded by the new translation of the putative base in HLuw. /warp(i)-/ ‘tool, weapon’.
[E.R.]
1.1.5Stem
The form in -ayinzi points to an adjective in -i(ya)- (Starke 1990a:224, Melchert 1994a:245; contra HHw:196) derived from a non-mutating a-stem. The nom./acc. coll. warpa ‘enclosure, cover, lid’ (see under Lemma) has the necessary shape, but the formal analysis cannot be supported by contextual evidence (see under Meaning).
