1.1.4Meaning

The fragmentary context does not permit the elucidation of the meaning of this word. Initial ḫar- reminds of the word for ‘head’ ḫarmaḫ(i)-, which may not be accidental in view of the occurrence of tappan(i)- ‘hair’ three lines later. However, no translation is offered in DLL:41, CLL:57, HHw:s.v., or here.

1.1.5Stem

On statistical grounds, preference is given to an adjective in -ašša/i-, over an individualizing derivative in -a- c.
