Casabonne 2020a:3 claims that the Carian theonym Sinuri is built on a “Hellenized Carian” / “Greco-Carian” word sin- ‘dog’ from Luwian “suwan-”. Setting aside the misspelled Luwian form (see s.v. Hieroglyphic Luwian /zuwan(i)-/) and the fact that Carian is not a daughter language of Luwian, there is not a shred of evidence that the -i- *sin- would be a regular reflex of the possible pre-forms *u(u̯) (in *k̑u(u̯)on-), *(u)u̯ (in *k̑(u)u̯on-) or *u (in *k̑un-), the expected form being ‹u/w› or ‹y/ý›, depending on their exact prehistory (see most recently the discussion in Melchert 2021b; the -i- can of course not be attributed to the Greek fronting, which is much later). Accordingly, no such Carian word can be reconstructed. For a candidate for the Carian word for ‘dog’ see s.v. qan.
