| 2sg. impv. act. (?) | ḫa-a-az-za | KUB 25.38 obv.? 8’ | (CTH 773, MS?) |
Under the assumption that the clause in the song incipit is complete, the morphological analysis is a plausible option (Yakubovich 2017d), but the presupposition is not assured. Cautiously DLL:45, CLL:67, HHw:s.v. leave the word without annotation. – Cf. also ḫa-az-za-[ at KUB 35.97, 9’.

1.1.4Meaning
The short incipit runs as follows: [ ]-x-ta-du-tar ḫa-az-za (KUB 25.38 obv.? 8’). In the sentence initial particle chain, =du is the dat. sg. of the 3rd person pronoun and =tar is a local particle. Lacking any informative context, nothing can be said about the semantics of the putative verb.

1.1.5Stem
If indeed ḫazza is a verb form, then it is likely that it contains the imperfective suffix -zza-(i), but it must be admitted that the word final -zza is rather an argument for its identification as a verb.
