1.1.3Meaning
The context in which the word pimirs is found is obscure and fragmentary. Sasseville 2021a:166 suggests hypothetically a derivative in -i-(t) from the participial form of pi(d)- ‘to give’, i.e. *pim(i)- ‘given’. Though appealing, this cannot be proven yet. For a tentative translation of the passage, see Sasseville 2021a:166 and cf. Gusmani 1964a:81.
