Melchert (DLL:49) sees in TL 29.12 a word pẽnẽ in the sequence sẽñnepẽnẽ putu, whereas Neumann 2007a:267 reads pẽnẽpị^?tu as one word. Tekoğlu 2006a does not attempt an interpretation. Considering the first part of the segment, we would rather see a particle chain, i.e. sẽ=ñne=p(e) ẽnẽ, and obtain the preverb ẽnẽ. However, since the rest of the clause is fragmentary and its readings debated, we cannot bring any confirmation to this hypothesis. Therefore, the word pẽnẽ should be considered a potential ghostword.
