‘(unknown)’1.1.1Transmission
This lexeme is found on a fragment interpreted previously by Starke 1985a:393 as Luwian, but now reinterpreted as Palaic; see also under Pal. meldaki-. A dative form ši-il-mi-i-ti occurs also in Hittite context, i.e. in the ritual of Zuwi (KUB 35.148 ii 6).

1.1.4Meaning
The shape of the word šilmida[- recalls Pal. ]x-mi-i-da-aš (KUB 35.163 ii 22), which would indicate a suffix -id- or perhaps -ida-. Despite this close resemblance and attestation in the ritual of Zuwi, the fragmentary state of all the relevant contexts prevents any reliable interpretation. No meaning is given in CHD Š:367.
